Sunday Social!

Sunday Social
Let's just dive right in, shall we?
1. What is your favorite type of workout to do? I really liked to run until I injured my foot and was told that I wasn't allowed to run anymore. But, fear not. I just had a check up appointment and doc told me that I could TRY to run again, but I wouldn't be doing anymore half marathons. Boo! I guess it will be all 5k's from here on out. Who's in? Also, why isn't my favorite workout something that will help my abs? That would just be too convenient.
2. What is your favorite guilty pleasure candy or sweet? I really like cupcakes. And now, we have a new cupcake shop in town and it's SO HARD for me to stay away. They have like every flavor and change them every day. What is a girl to do??
See what I mean??
3. What is one thing you continuously forget to do? I ALWAYS forget to pay my water bill. Every single bill I have can be paid online except for that one. I never go to the side of town in which to pay that bill, so it's always late. I hate that it's always late, but they need to get an online payment system worked out!
4. Do you prefer Post-Its or phone reminders? Why? Most definitely Post-Its. I hoard them at work. It's so satisfying to rip one off of the wall when you're done with that task. It's like it makes it real that I actually finished something. There are a lot of Post-Its in my office.

5. What is your favorite picture currently on your phone that always makes you smile? I actually just took a photo that I don't think I will be deleting any time soon. It's of Hubs, and he makes me laugh. I love him. Here he is in all of his glory:

Are you linking up with us today? Can't wait to read your answers! Hope everyone had a fantastic Easter weekend!

Sunday Social!

Sunday Social

It's Sunday Social time! This week it's all about Spring!

1. What is your favorite thing about Spring?
Wearing flip flops and shorts. If I had to choose a favorite outfit it would be shorts, a hoodie and flip flops. I can finally (when the weather decides that it actually wants to be Spring again - WTH, Georgia?) wear my favorite clothes and be comfortable! Thank goodness!

2. What is your favorite kind of flower to grow or receive?
Well, I have a black thumb and I'm terrible at gardening so this will be my favorite flower to receive. That would be the same flowers that my wedding bouquet was made with. Calla Lillies and Roses. LOVE.

3. What is your favorite nail polish color?
Anything bright and happy-looking. The brighter, more neon the better! Also, any fun designs are always welcome to grace the nails on my toes.

4. What is your favorite outdoor activity?
Tanning. Not even really joking about that one. Drinking outside is also fun. And camping - as long as it's in the Talladega infield. :)

5. Do you have any fun Spring plans? Details!
Well, Talladega Spring race is every year in May - so we're going to that again! It's like my favorite weekend of the summer months! Where my Dega fam at?

Other than that, we don't have any real plans. If anyone has any ideas, send 'em my way!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!

Sunday Social!

Linking up with Ashley and Neely for Sunday Social! I'm really starting to LOVE this Link-up! Everyone should come join in with us!
Sunday Social

1. What is one movie you are terrified to watch?
Easy. ANY exorcist exorcism movie. At all. That is too much. They've gone too far. That stuff really happens! Will not watch those. Nu-uh. No ma'am.

2. What is one TV show you have always wanted to get into but haven't yet?
This is also a surprisingly easy question for me. Breaking Bad. I'm a chemist. I REALLY want to get into this show, but it's so far into it already! I don't like to just jump in to a show when it's so far along. I'm trying to catch up on Netflix, but I always forget that I'm trying to catch up. I wish I could remember!!

3. What is one daring activity on your bucket list?
Gonna be honest here - Everything on my bucket list is pretty freaking safe. I don't want to die before finishing everything! :)  If I had to choose one thing it would be something like going to all of the MLB ballparks... Home baseball fans can get pretty vicious toward visiting team fans! Except Braves fans of course. We're super nice.

4. Would you ever travel alone?
I've traveled alone for work before, but once I got to where I was going, there was always someone there that I was meeting. I don't think I would ever go on a complete trip somewhere just by myself. Just me and Hubs, though? I'm all for that.

5. What activities do you like to do alone?
Heh... Just kidding! Get your minds out of the gutters people!! I like to do my arts and crafts alone. I also like to shop alone. There is nothing more relaxing to me than going to the store with money to spend and no one rushing me or following my every move around the store. I absolutely love it. It's like therapy.

Are you linking up today? If not, you should be. :) Hope everyone had a good weekend! Next stop: Monday. Yuck!

S-S-S-Sunday Social!

Linking up with Ashley and Neely for Sunday Social, again! This week it's all about 5's!

Sunday Social

I'm linking up pretty late so please forgive me! Let's get started!

5 Songs You'll Listen to the Rest of Your Life:
Starting off with a bang here. This is such a hard list to come up with. I'll do my best. Thank goodness I'll never have to actually choose 5 songs to listen to forever!
  1. Wagon Wheel - Old Crow Medicine Show. Seriously like one of my favorite songs of all time.
  2. My Maria - Brooks and Dunn. RIP Brooks and Dunn. I wish you could have stayed together!
  3. Baby Got Back - Sir Mix-a-Lot. Yes I'm serious. I know it's ridiculous.
  4. Ice Ice Baby - Vanilla Ice. There are so many memories for this song, I can't NOT listen to it forever.
  5. Semi-Charmed Life - Third Eye Blind. I realize what this song is about. I love it anyways. :)

5 Things on Your Bucket List:
  1. Start a little family. Probably on most girls' bucket lists. Boring, I know.
  2. Go to the Philippines. That's where my mom's from. Who wouldn't want to go back to the mother land?
  3. Go on like a 2 month road trip around America. Stopping at all of the landmarks. How awesome would that be?
  4. Go to all of the pro ballparks. Especially all of the National League ones.
  5. Go to all of the Margaritavilles. Not even kidding.
5 Celebs You'd Love to Hang Out with for a Day:
  1. Blake Shelton/Miranda Lambert - They count as one. Deal with it.
  2. Matthew Gray Gubler. Just to stare. Hellloooooo Dr. Reid!
  3. Kris Medlen. I would just really like to hang out with him. No particular reason. Besides him being awesome.
  4. Paula Deen. Every Southern girl's dream.
  5. Mila Kunis. I feel like we would be BFFs. We just haven't met yet.

5 Things You Always Carry in Your Purse:
  1. iPhone.
  2. Wallet
  3. Meds (UGH)
  4. Keys
  5. Checkbook
5 Books on Your Reading List:
Confession time: I don't really read too terribly much so I don't really have a reading list per-say. Whenever a good book comes out that I think I will enjoy, I will try to pick it up and read it. Other than that it's just funny memoirs (Chelsea Handler, Tucker Max, etc.). I DO want to read all of the Hunger Game books before the next movie though.

Share the Last 5 Pictures on Your Phone:

  1. We went to the gun range and decided to take a stroll down the Clay Shooting trail.
  2. Hubs was taking a nap last night and Mav decided that he wanted to share the couch. Hubs woke up and said his legs were numb. He had no idea.
  3. My sweet baby girl. She's so purdy.
  4. I made that breakfast casserole I was talking about last week. There may or may not be a recipe post coming soon. :)
  5. Getting ready to go to the gun range. We were cleaning our guns and Maverick decided that he wanted to learn with me.

Sunday Social!

Linking up with Ashley and Neely for Sunday Social, again! This time it's all about Valentine's Day!

Sunday Social
Basically that means I lied when I said that my last post was the last one to be able V-Day! Sorry. I hope you'll forgive me!

Here's the questions:

1. What's the Best Valentine's Day You've Ever Had?

Tough one! They've all been pretty darn good. The most memorable one was in college - I think it was my freshman year - and Hubs got me 2 dozen red roses and a HUGE balloon.

Actual photo of the roses. I still have the petals tucked away somewhere.
My balloon. I think I still have it somewhere folded up.
What makes this V-Day so memorable besides the roses and the flowers was that I asked Hubs to shave that night. I had never seen him without a beard so I asked and he delivered. He was not pleased. I never asked him to shave again.

Sad hubs.

2. What is the Worst Valentine's Day You've Ever Had?

Honestly, I can't remember a single Valentine's Day that wasn't great. If I was with someone, they were always fun and when I didn't have someone, spending it with my girlfriends was always the best option and it was never a let-down!

3. What Did You Do for Valentine's Day This Year?

Well, we didn't get to celebrate on the 14th this year because Hubs had to work. We did go out to dinner on Friday night for sushi. We kind of celebrated (i.e. gave gifts) a little early this year. You can read about his gifts here.

4. What is Your Best Valentine's Idea if You're Single?

I remember one Valentine's Day in high school when me and a bunch of my girlfriends were single. Some by choice, some not-so-much. We all got together and watched My Best Friend's Wedding (... because she doesn't get the guy in the end!) and baked cookies in the shapes of guys, decorated them accordingly and bit their heads off. Don't believe me? I have pictures:

These pictures are making me laugh. Oh how young we were!

5. What's Your Favorite Valentine's Candy?

I don't really like candy - like at all! I'm more of a strawberry fan. If they're covered in white chocolate or yogurt or whatever they cover them in nowadays, I will eat the whole mess of them. I LOVE strawberries.

6. Favorite Valentine's Memory from Your Childhood?

I don't really remember any particular V-Day from my childhood, but I do remember that my daddy always got me a teddy bear or a doll or something on Valentine's Day. It always made me feel special. Probably why I grew up to be such a daddy's girl. Couldn't help myself! Here's a picture of me and my daddy way back when:

Are you linking up today? Can't wait to read about it! Hope you're having a great weekend!
